Video sales outreach you can track, prospect by prospect
Zidi is a screen and camera recorder with the follow-up built in. You record a short walkthrough for one prospect or for a whole list, send each person their own link, and see who watched, how far they got, and whether they clicked your call to action.
It is built for SDRs, account executives and founders who sell by email and want a better reason to follow up than "just checking in". This page covers the workflow, what each plan includes, and the limits worth knowing before you start.
From recording to follow-up, step by step
Record the walkthrough
Open Zidi in Chrome and record your screen, your camera, or both. The Chrome extension records any tab or window while you work and adds drawing, blur and cursor highlights. Free recordings stop at 5 minutes; Starter and Pro record up to 2 hours.
Tidy it without re-recording
Trim the false start, move or resize the camera bubble after the take, and let AI remove filler words and silences. A transcript is generated automatically, so a prospect who opens the share link can skim the text when they cannot play sound.
Add one clear next step
Put a call-to-action button on the video's page with your own label and link: your scheduling page, a trial signup, a proposal. Each click is counted, and when the viewer is identified it is recorded against that person. The pricing page lists the call-to-action button under Pro.
Send it so the view has a name
For one prospect, create a per-person tracked link in the Share dialog. For a list, build a campaign: upload a CSV or type the recipients in, write the email with merge fields such as {firstName} and {company}, and every recipient gets a personal page with its own link.
Read who watched, then follow up
Views and watch time are reported on every plan. Starter and Pro add full analytics: unique viewers, watch percentage, the retention curve, devices, countries and traffic sources, with CSV export. Tracked links and campaign links add the person: who watched, for how long, and what they clicked.
Log it where the team already works
On Pro, Zidi writes that engagement to your CRM and can post it to a Slack channel, so the follow-up starts from the record the rest of the team reads.

A campaign recipient is a person with a personal page and link. The email row counts the messages a campaign sends through your mail server; links you paste into your own email tool are not limited.
Identified and anonymous viewers: what you will and will not see
A plain share link counts views but does not name the viewer. Anyone who opens it is included in the totals, the watch-time averages and the retention curve, and that is all. Zidi does not try to de-anonymise that traffic, and no tool can do so honestly.
A per-person tracked link or a campaign link names the viewer. Because the link was made for one person, the view belongs to that person: when they first watched, how many times, the highest percentage they reached, and whether they clicked the call to action. A viewer who is signed in to Zidi is identified in the same way.
Two details keep the numbers honest. Your own views of your own video are not counted, and repeat views from the same browser within a day count once, so the total can be lower than the number of clicks your email tool reports. Only identified views are passed on to a CRM, to Slack or to Zapier; anonymous views stay in analytics. Plan your sending around that: if the follow-up depends on knowing who watched, send a tracked link or a campaign, not the plain link.
Campaigns: one video, a personal page for every recipient
A campaign takes one recording and gives each recipient their own page and link. You upload a CSV (a template is provided) or enter people by hand, and the merge fields cover first name, last name, full name, email, company, location, role, title, phone and three custom columns. The same fields work in the email subject, the email body and on the page, so the prospect lands on a page that greets them by name.
The email goes out through your own mail server. You connect and verify an SMTP account in Settings and add your business postal address, which every campaign email must carry. Messages are then sent from your address, not from a Zidi one. Each message carries an unsubscribe link and one-click unsubscribe headers. Someone who unsubscribes is left out of all your later campaigns, duplicate addresses are skipped, and a re-send leaves out anyone emailed for that campaign in the last 7 days.
Per recipient you see first and last view, total views, highest watch percentage and CTA clicks; email opens are totalled for each send. One limit to plan for: a campaign is a draft until you launch it, and launching is one-way. It cannot be paused, scheduled or cancelled part-way, so check the list and the copy while it is still a draft.
What reaches your CRM, and when
Zidi connects to eight CRMs: Copper, HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, Close, Freshsales, Monday.com and ActiveCampaign. All eight are on the Pro plan, and every write goes one way, from Zidi to the CRM. When a campaign launches, each recipient is created or updated in the CRM, matched by email address: a contact in most of them, a Person in Copper, a lead in Close, and an item on the board you choose in Monday.com. A note, an activity, a completed task or, in Monday.com, an update on that record holds their personal link.
In most CRMs engagement is then logged at most twice for a campaign recipient: once when they first open the page, and once when they finish the video or click the call to action. That second entry lists the milestones they passed. Two CRMs receive more: HubSpot also gets five contact properties that Zidi creates and keeps up to date, and Copper, with its automations switched on by a Copper admin, records opened, 50 percent, 80 percent, completed and CTA clicked as five activity types of their own. For a video shared directly with a tracked link, Zidi writes one entry per view and updates it in place as the viewer passes 50, 80 and 100 percent. On that path only Copper and ActiveCampaign create a person who is not in the CRM yet; the others log the view only for someone who is already there.
Writes are queued rather than instant, and engagement updates wait about a minute so that one viewing session produces one entry. Treat the CRM as a record, not as a live feed. Copper has one extra: on Pro you can pull People from Copper by tag or contact type into a campaign that Copper itself sends. In that mode Zidi sends no email and only supplies the personal pages and the tracking. Slack alerts cover four events: a video viewed, a CTA clicked, a campaign launched and a watch milestone reached. Five Zapier triggers and a Make webhook carry the same events, plus new uploads, for teams that route work elsewhere.
Which plan fits which stage
Free is enough to test the idea with real prospects: 10 videos of up to 5 minutes, per-person tracked links with a daily limit, views and watch time for each video, automatic subtitles, filler-word removal, and 2 campaigns a month with 25 recipients each. An edited or cleaned copy counts as one of the 10. It costs nothing and needs no card, and there is no time limit on it.
Starter, at $19 per seat per month or $168 a year, removes the video cap, raises recordings to 2 hours, and adds full analytics, uploads, downloads in 1080p, the brand kit and 20 campaigns a month with 500 recipients each. It suits a rep or a small team that sends video every day and follows up from the analytics page.
Pro, at $49 per seat per month or $468 a year, is the plan for teams that work from a CRM. It adds the eight CRM integrations, Slack alerts, Zapier and Make, the call-to-action button, engagement heatmaps, a custom domain for video pages, and unlimited campaigns with up to 2,000 recipients each. Seats are priced the same as the plan, and the full table is on the pricing page.
What Zidi does not do
- There is no Gmail or Outlook add-in. You send from a Zidi campaign, or you paste a link into the email tool you already use.
- There are no sequences or automatic follow-ups. A campaign is a single send, and it cannot be paused, scheduled or cancelled after launch.
- The call to action is a button with a label and a link. Zidi has no meeting scheduler of its own and no lead-capture form inside the video.
- CRM writes go one way, from Zidi to the CRM, and only for identified viewers. Zidi does not read your pipeline or change deal stages.
- Recording needs Chrome or another Chromium browser on a computer. Prospects can watch on any modern browser, including on a phone.
- Subtitles, transcripts and filler-word removal are produced by AI and can be wrong. Watch the result before you send it to a prospect.
Sales Outreach questions
Can I see exactly who watched my sales video?
Yes, when the view comes through a per-person tracked link or a campaign link. You see when that person first watched, how many times, the highest percentage they reached and whether they clicked the call to action. Views through a plain share link are counted in the totals but are not tied to a name.
Does Zidi send the campaign emails, or do I?
Zidi sends them through your own mail server. You connect and verify an SMTP account in Settings, and the messages go out from your address with an unsubscribe link in each one. The exception is a Copper campaign in the "Copper sends" mode, where Copper sends the email and Zidi supplies the personal pages and the tracking.
Which CRMs does Zidi log to, and on which plan?
Copper, HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, Close, Freshsales, Monday.com and ActiveCampaign, all on the Pro plan. People are matched by email address. Engagement is written as notes, activities or tasks on that person's record, or as updates on a Monday.com board item, one way, from Zidi to the CRM. If a workspace leaves Pro, the connection stays in place but the writes stop.
Can I try video outreach on the Free plan?
Yes. Free includes 10 videos of up to 5 minutes each, per-person tracked links with a daily limit, views and watch time, automatic subtitles, and 2 campaigns a month with up to 25 recipients each. On Free a campaign emails up to 5 recipients per send and up to 50 in any 30 days, so a 25-person list takes five sends; make them within a week, because someone emailed more than 7 days ago becomes eligible again. Full analytics start on Starter. CRM integrations, the call-to-action button and heatmaps are on Pro.
Does the prospect need an account or an app to watch?
No. The link opens in any modern browser on a computer or a phone, and the prospect does not sign up for anything. A share link shows the video, the transcript and your call-to-action button if you added one; a campaign page shows the video and the button, without the transcript. You can also set a password on a video, and then the prospect needs that password.
Can the button on the video open my scheduling page?
You can point the call-to-action button at the scheduling page you already use, and Zidi counts every click and ties it to the viewer when that viewer is identified. Zidi does not include a meeting scheduler of its own, so the calendar, the availability rules and the confirmations stay in your scheduling tool.
